Terms of service

These terms explain the rules for using JainParichay, a matrimonial platform for the Jain community. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance

By creating a profile, signing in, or otherwise using JainParichay, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

• The person a profile is for must have reached the legal age to marry in India: 21 for men and 18 for women, or higher where the law that applies to them sets a higher age. Anyone creating or managing a profile must be at least 18.
• You must be seeking a genuine marriage. JainParichay is not for casual dating, entertainment, or any other purpose.
• You may use the service only for yourself or for a family member you represent in good faith.

3. Your account and information

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for all activity on your account. The information you give us, including your name, age, family details, and photos, must be accurate and kept up to date. Profiles that are false or misleading may be removed.

4. Prohibited conduct

When using JainParichay, you must not:

• Create a fake profile, or post another person’s photos or details without their consent.
• Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse any other member.
• Use profiles, contact details, or messages to sell products or services, solicit money, or run any commercial activity.
• Scrape, copy, or collect other members’ information, or send spam.
• Attempt to break, probe, or interfere with the platform or its security.

5. Paid plans and refunds

Some features are available through paid plans or credits. The price, what it includes, and any refund terms are shown to you at the point of purchase, and those plan terms form part of this agreement. Where they do not say otherwise, paid features are not refundable once used. Our refunds and cancellations page sets out how payments, plan changes and refunds work.

6. Photos and content

You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. You give JainParichay permission to store and display them within the service so that your profile can be shown to other members as you choose. You confirm that you have the right to share anything you upload. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

7. Termination

You can stop using JainParichay at any time: hide your profile from Settings. You can delete your account any time from Settings → Delete account, or by contacting us. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, with or without notice where needed to protect other members.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

JainParichay helps you find and connect with other members, but we do not verify every statement a member makes and we cannot guarantee any match, marriage, or outcome. You are responsible for your own decisions, including meeting people and checking their details. To the fullest extent the law allows, JainParichay is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the service or from other members’ conduct.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of India.

10. Grievance officer

If you have a complaint about the service or about another member’s conduct, contact our grievance officer. This is published under the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
